At the age of 15, I watched a blacksmith demonstration at a local fair. The rhythm of the hammer and the roaring of the fire whilst watching raw steel being shaped into what I would describe as a work of art captivated me.
I spent 3 years studying metalwork at college and also worked part-time for a local blacksmith. Once leaving college I sought to widen my knowledge and found a variety of work within the trade increasing my experience.
Having decided to start my business in 1999 I took on an old cattle shed at a farm and established K-Works Blacksmithing. Specialising in traditional ironwork, over the years my clients have grown to include homeowners, businesses, builders, craftsmen, designers , architects and local councils all of which continue to widen my passion and knowledge within my craft.
My emphasis is on using traditional & contemporary forging processes to create bespoke high quality metalwork.
